I am the eldest of five children. As such, it appears that I am still considered the go-to person, and I like to think that my siblings still respect my opinions. Well, I can like to think it anyway!

Just recently, I spent some time helping my widowed mother sort through boxes of photographs. What fun to re-discover moments of my childhood: my baby sister, Jody, with my German-Dutch grandmother; Michael, the twin who I was charged with keeping safe, trying to escape from his crib; the twins doing what I always remember them doing; and the look on my face as I hug (strangle?) my younger brother, Bob, who appears to be joining in with my birthday party.

As soon as I am finished with Brave Face, I will be continuing my work on the children’s books about my childhood—now I have additional fodder.
